What is Nutrition Consultation?

 

Nourishing a body is serious business. We demystify feeding yourself as an adult or as a parent of babies, children, teens, your family – wherever you are on the winding path of life - providing guidance so you have confidence in feeding and eating, rooted in knowledge and strategy, to stay on the middle path of balanced health. Whether eating by mouth or by tube, whether your concern is feeding another or yourself - with just an initial consult you will have a clear path and plan to eating.

Your nutrition consultation will be individualized and comprehensive – expect to spend ~90 minutes reviewing medical and nutritional history, with a full understanding of your lifestyle and environment prior to creating a nutrition prescription. This prescription is a flexible framework, starting with a foundational nourishment meal pattern or plan and may include a scaffolding of recipes, supplement protocol, lifestyle guidance or skill building if indicated.

 

Nutritrion Package (4 sessions)

 

Recommend scheduling 4 sessions either weekly or bi-monthly to complete your nutrition & healthspan re-boot over 1-2 months

Session 1: Nutrition Introduction & Initial Plan

Review client nutrition history and goals, identify areas of change, and introduce healthy eating. The client will have an understanding of how nutrition impacts health-span and co-create a foundational nutrition plan for day to day.

Session 2: Identify & Explore

Investigate and explore which foods and nutritional patterns support your overall health, and which foods or nutritional lifestyle factors you may need to leave behind or minimize to optimize your health.   Clients will also explore additional lifestyle factors and how they may be contributing to overall health, such as movement, family environment, sleep, stress, and more. 

Session 3: Balance   

While learning about the optimal side of nourishment, we also want to remember that eating healthfully is a practice which is best followed in the middle, not either overly restrictive or permissive. Session 4: Clarify & Re-align for Nutritional Confidence

Nearing the end of your package, it is time to re-assess areas of change, strengths and motivators.   We’ll organize nutritional resources to maintain your nutritional goals, which may include culinary skills, specific supportive food allies, utilize the phytonutrient spectrum, recipe resources and meal planning templates, problem-solve challenges that have come up, reinforcing your body’s intelligence, your eating and self-feeding knowledge and nutritional confidence for optimal nourishment.
